Simple Juice Recipes

Ingredients
  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 McIntosh apple
  • 1 Bosc pear
  • 5 kale leaves
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 1/2 cilantro bunch
  • 1 Meyer lemon
Juicing time: 15 mins Servings: 4

Don’t let the rich green color of the Green Monster intimidate you. It may appear to be a hearty, fibrous, and earthy drink but it’s quite the opposite. With a mildly sweet taste and a refreshing after effect, this juice will give you an added boost to start your day off right.

Directions

  1. Wash all fruits and vegetables.
  2. Cut apples and pear into quarters, remove core, and cut off ends. Do not peel off the skin.
  3. Wash kale leaves and celery stalks and cut into halves.
  4. Cut cucumber into quarters. Do not peel off the skin.
  5. Wash cilantro and bunch into a ball.
  6. Juice all fruits and vegetables.
  7. Squeeze lemon into juice by hand and mix thoroughly before serving.

    Oh man when I watched that documentary (very powerful) I was ready to buy a juicer and get moving. I haven’t yet, just too lazy right now = ( I have to make some major changes for real. When I get serious about this I think I’ll have a green juice in the AM, see how that goes. If I want to drink some more through out the day I will. I know some advocate jumping right into it I’ll see how I feel after day 1. I’m new to your blog today so I’m gonna follow this to see how you are doing. I’ve been wanting to do the same thing myself. The best to you!!
